Microsoft announces Gig Werks as the winner of the East Region Partner Technical Excellence Award

 

July 2010, New York, NY – Microsoft recently announced that Gig Werks are the winners of the Partner Technical Excellence Award. Gig Werks was chosen out of all the partners in the East Region in recognition of the work we've done for clients over the last year. This is also in recognition of the organizations highly developed and skilled staff.

 

Gig Werks will be given honored for their award at the Microsoft Worldwide Partner Conference on July 15th, 2010.

In this session Neil will demonstrate how Silverlight has become an integral part of the SharePoint 2010 experience. Then he will walk through current and future Silverlight Development techniques using Visual Studio, Expression Blend, Web Services and the new Client Object Model.

Neil Barkhina is an MCAD Certified professional with nearly 5 years of experience working with .NET technologies. He specializes in web development and SharePoint technologies and has worked on numerous projects including Leading Development on a SharePoint Intranet site for the largest real estate firm in New York. He has also worked in the video games industry doing 3D Game Development and Mobile Phone Applications. He is currently a Solutions Architect at Gig-Werks.

About the Session

SharePoint 2010 Silverlight is integrated within the user interface. In this session we will discuss building out a streaming video capture application utilizing a server side control and Silverlight 4. We will explain the ramifications involved with using this method over the Client Object Model or creating a WCF Service Application.

About Becky Isserman

Becky Isserman has been a SharePoint developer since 2005 when she attended the Portal University with Levi, Ray and Shoup in Springfield, IL. She is a Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP), a Microsoft Certified Application Developer (MCAD) and a Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist in WSS 3.0 (MCTS). She has been a web designer/developer since she was fifteen and notepad coding HTML 3.0 websites. She enjoys working with SharePoint 2007, because she can perform the roles of administratork developer, designer and architect. She has presented at several conferences, code camps, user groups and SharePoint Saturdays in the past three years.
